On December 18th and 19th, the first meeting (Kick - off Meeting) of the European project FORDYSVAR (Fostering Inclusive Learning for Children with Dyslexia in Europe by Providing Easy-to-Use Virtual and/or Augmented Reality Tools and Guidelines) was held at the Faculty of Education of the University of Burgos. This project has been selected by SEPIE (Spanish Service for Internationalization of Education) and financed by the European Union within the Erasmus + 2018 Programs.
The general objective of the project is to contribute to the educational inclusion of children with dyslexia using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) with the intention of improving the learning of schoolchildren with this problem. To tackle this project, we have a large multidisciplinary team and in this first meeting we have had specialists in neurorehabilitation, such as the prestigious Italian researcher Andrea Martinuzzi, specialists in the development of Augmented and Virtual Reality projects, specialists in dyslexia both from the point of view Neuropsychological as pedagogical and experts in educational technology. The main objective of this meeting has been to share the work done since September and schedule the next progress of the project
